So far, four new runewords for Diablo 2 Resurrected have been revealed: Unbending Will, Wisdom, Mist, and Flickering Flame.
Just recently, we shared news about Unbending Will, the first new runeword for Diablo 2 in 17 years. Three more runewords from the upcoming v2.4 update for Diablo 2: Reawakened have been revealed.
Flickering Flame (Nef + Pul + Vex), Wisdom (Pul + Ith + Eld), and Mist (Cham + Shael + Gul +Thul + Ith) are three further runewords that have emerged and can be of use in different contexts. The first two runewords are passable and have narrow uses.
Flaming (Nef + Pul + Vex)
Flickering Flame is a runeword based on a helmet, and it is quite pricey, costing a Pul and a Vex that are also used in the potent Heart of the Oak runeword, which is prized by Hammerdins. For casters, especially fire sorcerers and druids, the price is high for what they gain conceptually. This is essentially a fire version of Nightwing's Veil, granting +3 Fire talents and reducing the enemy's Fire resistance by a percentage. The resist fire aura will not only aid against hydras in Trav and Mephisto runs, but it will also free up some other in-slot equipment that may have been held for fire resistance.
Pul, Ith, and Eld together spell "wisdom."
The next one, Wisdom, is fairly priced. It's a runeword for a 3os helmet, and it costs Pul, Ith, and Eld. That's not too steep of a price, and the stats are intriguing for melee builds, especially bowazons. Despite having no skills, this character's percent piercing attack, bonus to attack rating, mana drain, and invulnerability to freezing are particularly impressive.
Cham, Shale, Gull, Thull, and Ith all add up to mist.
Mist, a potent but somewhat expensive bow runeword, comes in at last. When used with 5os bows (hydra bows, grand matron bows, matriarchal bows), mist provides massive powerhouse effects for raw damage. When equipped, the focus aura draws attention because to the vast 300 percent + increased damage, +3 skills, freezes target, and huge +40 all resistances it provides. The piercing attack is very effective and provides regular users of Razortail with a free additional in-slot item, making it an attractive alternative for those who prefer to utilize bowazons.
Neither the D2R runewords nor the release date for patch 2.4 have been confirmed by Blizzard, but we can be sure that it will include a reset of the ladder to account for the new runewords, rebalanced skills, and tweaked monsters.
